Here’s your business travel forecast

Thunderstorms are likely going to be the biggest hindrance to your travel plans, especially if you're driving or flying across the eastern half of the country this week.

These storms across the Northeast will wrap up early Monday as the cold front responsible for them will move offshore.

Rain and storms will become more widespread across the South as well, which could impact anyone getting a head start on travel for the week. The South should see more storms continue into Monday and potentially last much of the week.

In fact, much of the Midwest will see another round of rain and storms beginning Tuesday, lasting through much of the week.

Two other factors to keep in mind as you travel: the heat and the pollen.

  • Dozens of daily record highs and record warm lows are possible across the West, with some places even hitting the triple digits. Make sure to check the forecast to pack accordingly.
  • The trees and grasses are in full bloom in many areas, as well. Pollen sufferers will want to account for that in any outdoor plans.
