Lake Mead nears an all-time low as West’s drought worsens

Lake Mead is approaching record low levels. The Colorado River has continued to decrease due to low snowfalls in the winter and an increase in demand, which is affecting Lake Mead. Should the reservoir drop low enough, hydropower will no longer be possible.
