As historic flash flooding inundated the city of Anderson, Indiana, on Thursday, merchandise could be seen floating out of a retail store. The severe weather prompted the county to order some residents to evacuate their homes. The White River crested at approximately 24.93 feet on Friday, surpassing the city’s previous record of 23.6 feet set during a historic flood in 1913.
