Kilauea sent lava nearly 500 feet into the air inside Halemaʻumaʻu crater on Tuesday — the same day the National Park Service turned 110. The fountains stayed within the crater at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, in the 54th episode of an eruption that began in December 2024.
