A California Highway Patrol helicopter crew pulled an injured climber off a 700-foot rock face in California's Sierra Nevada, at a formation known as Power Dome. Video released by the team catches a crewman's boots braced on the helicopter's landing skids as he leans out to track the line beneath him, while the audio picks up his instructions to the pilot, repositioning the aircraft foot by foot to give the rescuer the best possible angle. CHP said the climber was later transferred to a waiting ambulance for medical care.
