Red Harlow was visiting her mom recently when she spotted some of her mom’s wildlife friends at her back door waiting for a free meal. But it’s not just that they were waiting; it’s how they were doing it!

Four raccoons, who Red says her mom has been feeding for years, stood at the glass door on their hind legs, hands above their heads like little zombies trying to find a way in to get food. Her mom opens the door and throws each of them a piece of bread, and they all scatter to enjoy their treat. The clip left us all wondering why nothing this cool ever happens at our houses.

We’re wondering whether the raccoons come for a meal once a day or show up randomly throughout the day. Either way, we’re kind of jealous of Red’s mom’s little friends!

Viewers Can’t Get Over How Cute the Raccoons at the Door Were

Red’s video racked up millions of views and more than 3,000 comments, and some of them cracked us up. Like @Pursuit of happiness, who shared a screenshot of the raccoons at the door and said, “All hail the food queen!” Another commenter added, “PRAISE THE GODDESS, FOR OUR BELLIES WILL NO LONGER BE EMPTY!”

@Plectrum heaven wondered, “Has she seen the video where the lady kept feeding raccoons, and one day she had to call the police because there were literally HUNDREDS OF RACCOONS SURROUNDING HER??”

Another commenter joked, “Imagine the horror when you sell the house and they show up like lil burglars on night one lol!”

But not everybody thought that the video was cute. One commenter said, “And just like that, a whole generation of raccoons no longer knows how to forage.” @Christie Murphy agreed, “And if she stops, they will get aggressive because they want that food.” @Dionnea Seals added, “The neighbor I would hate to have. Very inconsiderate for your neighbors.”

As funny as the little “zombie” faces pressed against the glass may be, feeding wild raccoons can create problems for both the animals and the people living nearby. These guys have clearly learned exactly where dinner is served, and let’s just hope they don’t let their other friends know, too!
