Traveling this weekend across the country will be great with two big exceptions: the East and the Rockies.

What will likely be Hurricane Isaias is expected to crusade through the Deep South Saturday and much of the East on Sunday, likely snarling both the airport and the interstates from New Orleans to New York at times this weekend.

The other trouble spot, The Rockies, will see widespread showers and even some snow from Montana to Southern California and Arizona on Saturday and Sunday. This may cause some delays in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Salt Lake City.

A heat wave will move from the West now to the Midwest by Sunday, meaning temperatures will be in the 70s and 80s for many into this weekend. This should feel more like an extension of summer rather than anything dangerous once it leaves California.
