I came to The Weather Company after working as an academic for 17 years. I left a tenured position as Associate Professor of English at Wright State University to come here and help build our newsletter program.

I was on a book tour in the United Kingdom when the “Beast From The East” walloped the country in 2018, throwing all travel into disarray. It was really intense at the time and led to a lot of canceled events and rerouted travel plans, but it gave me a sense of just how important paying attention and being prepared for the weather is, especially while traveling.
