How I Got To The Weather Company

Growing up in the South, my biggest fear was tornadoes. The way I dealt with that was to learn as much as I could about these phenomena, which turned my fear into a love and appreciation of weather. I have fond memories of watching The Weather Channel for hours with my grandmother growing up, further cementing my passion for meteorology.

While working toward my degrees, I joined the CNN weather team, which sparked my passion for science communication. During my time there, I created weather content for both national and international coverage of major events, including Hurricane Idalia and the solar eclipse.

After graduation, I joined The Weather Company, which was a dream come true as I grew up trusting The Weather Channel brand. I now have the opportunity to create graphics and write articles for weather.com and The Weather Channel app as well as create on-camera content for The Weather Channel’s social media platforms.

What I Love About Working for The Weather Company

I love getting to communicate weather information in a way that is easy to digest for all audiences as part of one of the most trusted brands across the country.

Favorite Core Weather Memory

Forecasting the weather across the country for the solar eclipse was one of my favorite core weather memories. It was incredibly impactful to see the country come together to witness this event and to play an integral role in helping people decide their travel plans based on where the weather would be most optimal for viewing.
