About Caroline

Hometown:

Winter Park, FL (but born in Boston!)

Educational Background:

B.A. in Film & Television, SCAD

What I Do:

Content Producer and Editor

How I Got To The Weather Company:

I am a director, producer, and editor who’s been playing with cameras since childhood - directing my sister in music videos and hosting full-blown film premieres for my parents at age nine.

After graduating from SCAD, majoring in Film with a minor in Dance, I spent eight years producing in the Advertising world in Chicago and Boston before directing my first short film that went on to be in multiple film festivals. After running my own production company for about 6 years, this Weather Channel opportunity came to be and felt like a beautiful fit.

My work spans documentary, commercial, branded and editorial storytelling. I came to directing through production and post-production but truly love every aspect of the filmmaking process.

I am interested and most passionate about making work that is visually compelling, emotionally honest and deeply human.

What I Love About Working for The Weather Company:

Joining The Weather Company truly took me by surprise. I was new to the world of weather and news but was welcomed with open arms. Aside from the incredible people I get to work with every day, my favorite part is growing our Features department. There are endless weather-related, deeply impactful, human stories to tell and helping bring them to life brings me a lot of joy.

Preferred Weather Areas

Right here in the Blue Ridge Mountains!

Favorite Core Weather Memory

It’s got to be a tie between jumping into the freezing cold Irish Sea every time I visit (my mom is from Ireland) and the countless hurricanes I experienced growing up in Florida. I have really precious memories of playing board games and instruments with my family and the neighborhood kids while we waited for weeks to get power back after Hurricane Charley.

Memorable/Current Work

The Hurricane Katrina Features we produced. I am so proud of them!
