How I Got To The Weather Company

I grew up outside of Pittsburgh where I always enjoyed the behind-the-scenes workings of the television industry. I was convinced I could do a better job of selecting TV shows to watch since there was never anything good on.

Even though growing up, I experienced plenty of snow in western Pennsylvania, in 1976, while on vacation along the Jersey Shore, Hurricane Belle arrived, forcing my entire family to evacuate midvacation.

After moving to Atlanta, I made it through the "Blizzard of 1993" as well as the Snowpocalypse events in 2010 and 2014 which paralyzed the entire city. Jumping ahead to my present location in Cheyenne, Wyoming, I experienced another personal best, standing outside in minus 25 degrees just to see what it was like. The verdict: indescribably cold!

What I Love About Working For The Weather Company

On a professional level, having my work honored with awards ranging from an Emmy for bringing new technology and innovations to newsgathering platforms to video stories honored by professional journalists highlighting people from around the world sharing their lives as they rowed across the ocean, walked around the globe or floated down a river.
