How I Got To The Weather Company

Growing up in Georgia, my childhood home was surrounded by giant old oak trees, many of which fell on my house and my neighbors’ houses during strong wind events. This instilled a lot of fear and anxiety in me whenever there were strong thunderstorms and tornadoes in the area. However, that fear later turned into fascination as I got older and learned more about the weather.

I grew up trusting The Weather Channel brand. The Weather Channel app was often one of my most used apps, and I remember always trying to convince my friends to use it as opposed to using other weather apps. So naturally, working for The Weather Company was a dream come true.

What I Love About Working for The Weather Company

I love the opportunity to educate people about all types of weather, helping them stay informed and safe, whether it be extreme weather events or just planning the day to day.

Favorite Core Weather Memory

When Atlanta got multiple inches of snow during my senior year of college. I got to see my college campus transform into a winter wonderland for the first time, and watched all the college students become children again as they played in the snow.
