Experience

Sean Breslin is a managing editor for the editorial team of The Weather Company and has been a web editor since 2009. Sean grew up in Atlanta, where he quickly grew a childhood fascination with everything weather, including The Weather Channel.

At 10 years old, while on a family road trip vacation in 1997, Sean experienced firsthand the weather event that would inspire him to become a weather geek, as Hurricane Danny passed directly over him while stuck in a car in a tunnel under Chesapeake Bay.

So when a great opportunity for a young journalist to join the weather.com editorial team presented itself in early 2011, he was quickly immersed in the science and the passion of being surrounded by world-class meteorologists whose passion was evident from Day 1. More than a decade later, Sean still finds passion in crafting stories about weather and how it impacts people every day.

Education

Sean graduated from Florida State University in 2009 with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Communications. He was a writer for the FSView and Florida Flambeau newspaper from 2007 to 2009.
