Winter storm early this week What: - 20 to 40 centimetres of snow expected - near-zero visibilities in heavy snow and blowing snow - freezing rain period leaving up to 5 millimetres of ice When: late in the day today until Tuesday morning Additional information: Precipitation will begin as snow, then gradually change over to ice pellets, and then to freezing rain on Monday morning. On Monday afternoon, a brief period of rain is expected before precipitation changes back to snow, which will reduce the remaining accumulations on the ground. ### Roads and walkways will likely be very difficult to navigate. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Road closures are possible. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
