Description

Snow or freezing rain with strong easterly or southerly winds on Sunday. What: Snow 2 to 6 cm Freezing rain 1 to 2 mm ice build-up Wind gusts up to 70 km/h When: Sunday morning through Sunday midday. Additional information: A band of snow will move across the regions Sunday morning and will be associated with easterly or southeasterly winds up to 70 km/h giving local blowing snow. Brief freezing rain is also possible with the snow. The snow band will continue northward late in the morning. Reduced visibilities will make travel difficult Sunday. Snow accumulations may be highly variable however most areas will receive at least 2 centimetres with locally higher amounts possible. The snow will move northward and out of most regions on Sunday afternoon or late afternoon. Strong southerly wind gusts may develop again Sunday afternoon or Monday morning with local power outages as possible impacts. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
