Saturday, November 2: Dense smog blanketed the national capital on Saturday, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching 296 at 7 a.m., according to data from the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR).

As per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), air quality in various areas remained in the “very poor” category: Anand Vihar recorded an AQI of 380 at 7 a.m., RK Puram 346 at 6 a.m., IGI Airport Terminal 3 342 at 6 a.m., and Dwarka Sector 8 308 at 7 a.m. ITO registered a “poor” AQI of 253 at 6 a.m.

Residents felt the impact of poor air quality, particularly cyclists and joggers near India Gate, who reported breathing difficulties during physical activities. "Pollution is a serious problem. If you cycle, jog, or do any strenuous activity, breathing becomes difficult," one cyclist told ANI. Another expressed concerns that pollution levels may worsen in the coming days.
