At 1157 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Myrtle Grove to 7 miles southwest of Golden Meadow, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Grand Isle, Cut Off, Galliano, Larose, Port Sulphur, Golden Meadow, Jean Lafitte, Lafitte, Myrtle Grove, Pointe A La Hache, Barataria, Leeville, Montegut, Chauvin, and Empire. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area.
