The National Weather Service has issued Tornado Watch 44 in effect until 6 PM CDT this evening for the following areas In Texas this watch includes 18 counties In southeast Texas Austin Brazoria Chambers Colorado Fort Bend Galveston Grimes Harris Houston Liberty Montgomery Polk San Jacinto Trinity Walker Waller Washington Wharton This includes the cities of Alvin, Anahuac, Angleton, Bellville, Brenham, Brookshire, Cleveland, Clute, Coldspring, Columbus, Conroe, Corrigan, Crockett, Dayton, Dickinson, Eagle Lake, El Campo, First Colony, Freeport, Friendswood, Galveston, Groveton, Hempstead, Houston, Huntsville, Lake Jackson, League City, Liberty, Livingston, Mission Bend, Missouri City, Mont Belvieu, Navasota, Old River-Winfree, Pearland, Pecan Grove, Prairie View, Rosenberg, Sealy, Shepherd, Stowell, Sugar Land, Texas City, The Woodlands, Trinity, Waller, Weimar, Wharton, and Winnie.

...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN WHARTON...FORT BEND...SOUTHEASTERN MONTGOMERY...SOUTHERN SAN JACINTO...NORTH CENTRAL BRAZORIA...LIBERTY...SOUTH CENTRAL POLK AND CENTRAL HARRIS COUNTIES THROUGH 215 PM CDT... At 115 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms capable of producing gusty winds and potentially an isolated landspout along a line extending from near Cut And Shoot to near Porter Heights to Fairbanks / Northwest Crossing to Cinco Ranch to Kendleton. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Landspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include...
