THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE DAWSON COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY. ..Evacuation for the town of Farnam due to Wildfire... The following message is transmitted at the request of Dawson County Emergency Management. Citizens in Farnam should evacuate immediately and drive east to Eustis and seek shelter. Frontier county officials will assist upon arrival. A wildfire in southwest Dawson county is expected to turn south with a wind shift by 10 PM and threaten the town of Farnam.

THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS SITUCATION. EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY... Residents of southwest Dawson county should evacuate immediately due to a wildfire. This includes the city of Farnam and surrounding areas. You should evacuate immediately to save your life. Drive east toward to Eustis and wait for assistance from local authorities. This is very dangerous situation. The wildfire north of Farnam will start to move south toward Farnam and surrounding areas by 10 PM. Do not drive north or west...drive east.
