Long-Lived System Will Spread Snow, Some Ice From the West Into the Plains, Midwest Into Next Week

A welcome burst of snow is ahead for much of the Rockies and Cascades this weekend and it will spread into the Midwest with a dose of heavy snow and some ice next week.
