May 8, 2026, 8:11 am EDT
Easter weekend is looking wet and stormy across the Eastern U.S, while the West enjoys warm and dry weather for the holiday weekend. A few severe storms could fire up across the Ohio Valley, Great Lakes and Deep South on Saturday. Damaging winds and large hail will be the main threats, but we can’t rule out the chance for an isolated tornado. Easter Sunday is looking rainy and dreary along the Interstate 95 corridor, so make sure you allow for extra travel time. Many egg hunts will probably need to be moved indoors. Watch this for the latest update.

Easter Weekend Weather To Be Impacted Across Parts Of East
April 3, 2026, 5:58 pm EDT
Easter weekend is just around the corner, and some parts of the East may want to move their outdoor activities inside due to poor weather. The front will move through the region through the day, so some parts of the East could still get in some Easter egg hunts earlier in the day, but others may as well just have their events on Saturday. The West gets to enjoy mainly clear skies. Meteorologist Rob Shackelford breaks down the nation’s forecast.

March 29, 2026, 9:01 am EDT
A pattern shift is on the way next week, which will bring a pretty significant shift to much of the country. There will be a dip in the jet stream over the West, which will lead to an increase in rain and snow across the West but also an increase in rain, snow and storms for much of the East. A severe threat is already in place for the Upper Midwest for Monday, and rainfall totals could be over 3 inches for those who really need it. Here’s the latest.
