Bad News For Spring Weather Lovers

A false spring has settled into much of the country, but winter will be returning by next week. Winds will soon change direction from off the Pacific to out of Canada, meaning chillier air is on the way for cities like Denver, Dallas, Kansas City and Minneapolis. Temperatures could be as much as 35 degrees below average to start next week. Bitter to outright dangerous wind chills could penetrate into the Northern Plains and Rockies, but the cold air will swamp parts of the South.
