Heat and humidity relief is on the way as a slow-moving cold front pushes across the country. The extreme heat continues across the Northeast Tuesday and Wednesday as highs drop into the 70s and 80s across the Midwest. By Thursday, highs drop into the 70s in Chicago and Boston with 80s in New York City and Philadelphia. The relatively strong cold front for this time of year almost makes it to the Gulf Coast, dropping highs into the 70s and 80s in Atlanta over the weekend!
