The Midwest to the Northeast will stay very cold into early next week as several reinforcing shots of bitter arctic air dive into the U.S. The coldest air of the season will move in this weekend and will impact places as far south as the Gulf Coast, including the entire state of Florida. Dozens of record lows and record cold highs will be in jeopardy from the mid-Atlantic to the Gulf Coast Friday through Monday.
