Cooler Temps Settle In For Memorial Day

May 22, 2025

A may chill will settle in across the northern tier of the U.S. for the next few days as unsettled weather dominates. A dip in the jet stream will allow for cloudy skies and off-and-on rain to help keep temperatures as much as 10 to 20 degrees below average ahead of the Memorial Day weekend from the Northeast to the Midwest. For the most part, this portion of the country will see highs in the 50s through Friday, with some records potentially broken for coldest high temperature. By Memorial Day weekend, most areas will return to the 60s, gradually warming through the weekend. Watch this video to see who might need a jacket to round out the week.
