Storms, Flooding Possible Through Memorial Day

May 26, 2025

Sunday and Memorial Day will be super soggy for millions across the Southern Tier of the country as several rounds of storms roll through the same areas that have experienced storms over the last few days. Some storms could become severe, with damaging winds and very large hail (2+ inches in diameter) possible. An isolated tornado can’t be ruled out either. Places like Oklahoma City, Little Rock, Memphis and Fort Worth have the greatest risk of severe weather. There’s also a significant risk of flash flooding across eastern Oklahoma and parts of western Arkansas as very heavy rainfall is expected on areas that are already extremely saturated.
