A rare high risk for flooding has been issued for Southern California, including areas in and around Los Angeles. The heaviest rain will fall Christmas Eve into Christmas Day, so the National Weather Service is urging people to reconsider travel plans. A widespread 4-7 inches is possible with isolated totals higher than 9 inches not out of the question. Significant flooding, rockslides and mudslides are likely, especially around burn scars and higher terrain. Watch this video for the latest update.
