Masking, quarantining and other forms of non-pharmaceutical intervention were effective at helping stop the spread of COVID-19. That’s the conclusion of a report by the UK’s Royal Society which reviewed thousands of studies. The practices helped prevent infections and buy time as vaccines and other drugs were developed.
