Surprising Link To Some Heart Attacks

Extreme heat and air pollution were found to be contributing factors to some heart attacks in a recent study out of China. Researchers looked at more than 200,000 cases of cardiac deaths between 2015 and 2020. It was estimated that 2.8% of those were affected by extreme heat and fine particulate matter pollution, with women and older adults being most at risk. The study was published in the American Heart Association’s journal Circulation.
