It’s probably pretty obvious why meteorologists love sunflowers, sun is right there in the name! But there are many more reasons to love these fascinating plants, from their history with baseball to their journey to outer space. In honor of National Sunflower Day (the first Saturday in August) we’re celebrating this symbol of joy.
