Plentiful gardens. A sky bridge. River and park views from each angle. Asymptote Architecture's Velo Towers residential complex in Seoul, South Korea puts an emphasis on designing a living space that has more greenery and natural light than traditional high-rise condos.

The New York-based architects designed the towers by stacking eight large cylinder-type compartments on top of each other, then rotating each of those pieces in a different direction. Twisting each section not only allows tower residents to have different views of nearby Yongsan Park and the Han River, but it also allows the sun to feed rooftop gardens on each section of the building.

Residents will discover more green opportunities inside sun-filled atriums that are built into the towers. As you can see in the photos above, gardens and trees also line the sky bridge that connects the two towers.

The architects say Velo Towers fits into their overall design philosophy, which focuses on using the "best practices and to approach environmental quality and sustainability from the ground up." You can see more of Asymptote's progressive, sustainable designs on the firm's website.
