The 5-Year Forecast Is Not Good

The World Meteorological Organization just released a forecast for the next five years and the predictions are not looking good. There's a 70% chance that the world will hit an average of 1.5 degrees Celsius higher temperatures, shooting past the limit set by the Paris climate accord 10 years ago. There’s even a small chance that temperatures will cross the 2-degree warming threshold in the next five years, an event previously thought impossible.
