System Brings Gusty Winds, Rain To Northeast, Great Lakes

A pair of systems is expected to sweep across the Northeast this week, bringing rain and strong, gusty winds to the region. The first system will come through starting Monday morning around the Great Lakes region, with cities like Chicago, Detroit and Columbus seeing wind speeds of 15 to 25 mph, with some places like Buffalo seeing up to 40 mph winds. The second system will sweep in Wednesday into Thursday where gusty winds and rain will affect cities like New York, D.C., and Boston. Higher elevations may even see some snow. The strong winds may cause downed tree limbs, power outages and even flight delays. Here’s the latest.
