People on social media are posting frozen fountains from their home towns as many experience a snow day on Thursday.

The Arctic chill which has gripped much of the U.S. has caused fountains across the South to freeze, making them seem stuck in time. Winter Storm Grayson brought snow and ice to northern Florida, southern Georgia and the eastern Carolinas, coating these structures in frost and freezing the water solid.

People on social media are posting frozen fountains from their home towns as many experience a snow day on Thursday. Winter Storm Grayson is making its way up the East Coast on Thursday, bringing the possibility of more than a foot of snow to Boston, Massachusetts, and parts of Maine

The cold won't go away after Grayson passes through. The northern tier of the U.S. will experience a wind chill factor below zero through Thursday. The Northeast will experience highs about 30 degrees below average through this weekend
