Flooding has gripped parts of West Virginia, Ohio, West Virginia and New York, including Buffalo and Pittsburgh, where Winter Storm Hunter brought heavy rains. Winter weather advisories and winter storm warnings extend from the Mississippi Valley to the Tennesee and Ohio valleys, as well as the eastern Great Lakes and up into New England.

The wintry precipitation continues eastward this weekend, bringing rain to much of the Northeast and snow from upstate New York to Maine. Hunter may bring sleet and freezing rain to the Poconos, Catskills and the Hudson Valley as well as parts of western and northern New England.
