Spring's Pink Moon Rises (Photos)

Photographers around the world captured spectacular images of the first full moon of spring this weekend.

It's often called the Pink Moon, not because it's pink but because it appears when a pink wildflower named creeping phlox also blooms.

Because it often appears close to two religious holidays, the moon is also referred to as the Pesach Moon for Passover and the Paschal Moon for Easter.
