Scores of people were injured, and local reports say that the death toll could still rise. The landslide was sparked by heavy rains, and roads were still blocked on Wednesday, forcing soldiers and rescue workers to erect a portable bridge and use speedboats to reach the worst-hit district of Rangamati, the Washington Post reported.
