Exploring the Magnificent Canadian Landscape Through Photography

Photographer Victor Aerden recently moved to Canada from Belgium with his family, and Aerden took the opportunity to explore his new home through photography.

"It's difficult not to be inspired to take photos in Canada; the natural beauty here is awe-inspiring," Aerden told weather.com.

He explained that the nature and wide-open spaces are the biggest differences between Canada and his home country. Aerden loves to camp and hike, and he says that the natural diversity and landscapes of Canada are unlike what he is used to in heavily-populated Belgium.

Aerden has only taken photography seriously as a hobby for about a year, but his stunning images of landscapes have already garnered him a significant following.

The photographer cites the role of weather in the mood he captures in his images. "In Belgium we get a lot of dull grey skies. Weather in Canada is better in general, we get more blue skies here in Alberta, and more dramatic weather too, which make for cool sunsets and sunrises and amazing skies."
