Tornadoes hit San Antonio and Austin, Texas, Monday morning, leaving widespread damage and nearly 40,000 without power. More than 100 structures were damaged, and five minor injuries were reported.

As many as 10 tornadoes were confirmed in San Antonio and Austin from the storm system.

Transmission towers were bent in half by the winds, which reached well over 100 mph in some instances. Homes were shredded and trees were blown onto cars as the powerful storms moved through the Lone Star State.
