Winter weather advisories have been issued throughout the Northeast as Winter Storm Reggie brings late winter snow. Areas under advisory include New York City, Hartford and Pittsburgh, as parts of New England, such as eastern Long Island, Cape Codd, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket have been placed under a winter storm warning by the National Weather Service.

Snow was falling at a rate of one inch per hour at Connecticut's Bradley International Airport, and parts of eastern Ohio and and western Pennsylvania had already seen as much as five inches early Friday. 

Reggie is the first system in a weekend of winter weather. The northern Plains and South may see snow over the weekend, traveling as far south as Tennessee and the Carolinas. Another storm follows on its heels and is set to bring more snow to the Northeast early next week.
