Hurricane Idalia: Here's Where Evacuations Have Been Ordered In Florida

H​ere's a list of Florida counties with mandatory evacuation orders ahead of Idalia, as of 8:15 p.m. eastern time Monday evening.

Citrus

Mandatory evacuations are ordered for residents in Zone A, which includes everything west of Highway 19 and some areas east of Highway 19.

D​ixie

A​ll coastal communities, including Suwannee, Horseshoe Beach, Jena and immediate surrounding areas were required to leave by 7 p.m. Tuesday. Countywide, mobile homes, recreational vehicles and low-lying areas should also be evacuated.

F​ranklin

A mandatory evacuation is in effect for barrier islands, low-lying areas, mobile homes and RV parks.

G​ilchrist

A​ll residents are under a mandatory evacuation order.

G​ulf

Visitors north of the "stump hole" are required to leave. There are also mandatory evacuations for recreational vehicles along C30 and Highway 98 from the Franklin County Line to Mexico Beach including all of Cape San Blas, Simmons Bayou, Indian Pass, Highlandview, and St Joe Beach.

Hillsborough

Mandatory evacuations for Zone A, as well as those in mobile and manufactured homes and residents in low-lying areas prone to flooding. T

J​efferson

A mandatory evacuation order applies to mobile/modular homes, recreational vehicles and anyone in flood-prone areas.

L​afayette

M​andatory evacuation for all low-lying and flood-prone areas that have previously flooded during heavy rainfall. Shelter will be provided at Lafayette High School Cafeteria, 160 NE Hornet Ln, Mayo, FL 32066.

L​eon

E​vacuations have been ordered for everyone who lives in mobile and manufactured homes until the storm passes.

Evacuation orders are in place for residents in the county’s coastal areas including but not limited to Cedar Key, Yankeetown, Fowlers Bluff and Fanning Springs. Residents are urged to evacuate by 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

M​anatee

A​ mandatory evacuation for residents in Level A, including all mobile home parks, went into effect at 2 p.m. Monday.

N​assau

All residents who are power-dependent for special needs or live in flood-prone structures, vulnerable structures or and mobile homes are under a mandatory evacuation order.

Pasco

There is a m​andatory evacuation for Zone A as well as vulnerable structures and areas prone to flooding.

Pinellas

R​esidents of Zone A, as well as mobile homes, were ordered to evacuate starting at 7 p.m. Monday. Residential health care facilities were also being evacuated.

Sarasota

Officials are calling for the evacuation of residents in Level A as well those living in manufactured homes to evacuate. Evacuation centers are located in schools across the county and were set to open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

S​t. Johns County

The order applies to anyone living on a boat or in a mobile home, recreational vehicle, camper or similar conveyance, or in low-lying, flood-prone areas.

S​uwannee

A mandatory evacuation of those living in low-lying or flood prone areas and the order was set to go into effect at noon Tuesday.

T​aylor

Mandatory evacuation order for all coastal residents as well as mobile homes, travel trailers and sub-standard housing.

A mandatory evacuation order is in effect for coastal and low-lying areas as well mobile
