Atmospheric River, Storm: Major Flood, Snow Threat For West

A firehose of moisture will slowly creep southward through California and the West into this weekend. Debris flows, mud- and rockslides, and flooding are likely in Southern California, including burn scar areas around Los Angeles. Multiple feet of heavy snow are expected in the Sierra Nevada, and then more showery weather is expected from the Great Basin to the Rockies as Winter Storm Jett continues its coast-to-coast voyage toward the East Coast.
