A wildfire that was sparked Tuesday afternoon in Spain's Cadiz province grew quickly and forced hundreds to evacuate from a hotel, according to local reports.

The inferno was located in the resort town of La Alcaidesa, where 420 people had to be evacuated from a hotel that was near the blaze, HoraSur reported. Officials asked residents and tourists to refrain from driving toward the wildfire to get a better look, and to keep roadways free for emergency vehicles.

More than 100 firefighters were working to extinguish the wildfire, HoraSur also said. La Alcaidesa is located in southern Spain, along the Mediterranean Sea.
