California’s third generation wireless research network, ALERTCalifornia, has relaunched with significant technological improvements for safety and health. Cameras and sensors provide year-round monitoring for wildfires, snowpack, drought, and air quality. The camera network is free to use for the general public, and the data is made available to researchers studying disasters and climate.
