A snowstorm has been creating dangerous driving conditions in North Dakota, shutting down at least two highways, causing cars to slide off the road and semi-trucks to jackknife.

North Dakota Department of Transportation issued a No Travel Advisory, warning drivers to stay off the roads due to icy and slushy accumulation.

Named Winter Storm Aubrey by The Weather Channel, the snowstorm is the most expansive of the season so far, bringing up to two feet of snow to Montana, and more than a foot in parts of North Dakota so far.

The storm shut down I-94 westbound from Bismarck to Fargo and eastbound from Bismarck to Valley City, as well as I-29 in both directions between Grand Forks and the Canadian border.

A blizzard warning has been issued for parts of north-central North Dakota, and winter storm warnings are in effect for portions of the Dakotas and Minnesota.
