Volunteers help a woman dig out her parked car on Monday, Dec. 30, 2019, after it was blocked by snow from a plow that was clearing snow in downtown Fargo, N.D., after a blizzard that dumped a foot or snow in some areas of the metropolitan area. Authorities warned residents on Saturday to get their cars off the street to help cleaning crews in a process they say could take weeks to complete. A winter storm knocked out power to tens of thousands in Ohio and brought a rare no travel advisory to Fargo, North Dakota, before moving east.

The Weather Channel has named the storm Winter Storm Gage.

Areas of central and northeast Ohio saw gusts of 50 to 70 mph. Downed power lines caused the closure of State Road 56 in Madison County, and a portion of State Road 601 was closed due to a tree on a power line in Erie County.
