Rounds Of Rain, Mountain Snow For California Through Monday

November 16, 2025

A series of storms is bringing soaking rain, gusty winds and mountain snowfall to California through this weekend into early in the week ahead. The heaviest rainfall is expected across Southern California, where over 20 million people are under flood watches. These flood watches include Los Angeles, where rainfall rates in the heaviest rainbands could reach one inch per hour. Rainfall totals across the lower elevations could be between 2-4 inches with some areas in the foothills seeing over 4 inches. Heavy rainfall rates could bring life-threatening flooding and landslides, especially across recent burn scars. Mountain snowfall across the Sierra Nevada is expected to be in the feet. Here’s the latest.
