‘Zombie Virus’ Affecting Deer At Yellowstone

Chronic wasting disease, often called “zombie deer disease,” has been reported at Yellowstone National Park for the first time. The disease has been circulating through parts of Wyoming for decades but has never before been found inside the park. The illness is always fatal and causes deer and other hoofed mammals to become emaciated and lose their ability to move.
