The federal government earlier this year put limits on PFAS chemicals, or “forever chemicals,” in drinking water. But filtering them out is a challenge. Scientists at MIT may have found a nature-based solution. Forever chemicals are long lasting in the environment and linked to a host of serious health issues including low birthweight and cancer.
