Aurora Dances Above North Pole, Alaska

The sun is currently in its solar maximum, which can mean amazing auroras for those in the right latitudes. One of our favorite aurora chasers was particularly blown away by this incredible vivid green aurora he caught in North Pole, Alaska, this weekend.

Vincent Ledvina recorded the video, which shows green and white ribbons sparkling in the night sky. “I stepped outside my door last night in Alaska and saw the sky open up… truly amazing,” Ledvina said.
